A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be.
— Tom Landry

I have experienced first-hand the brilliance and magic of working with a coach for the last three years, and now I can’t imagine doing life without it. Whether it be life coaching or business coaching, or both (as is usually the case), we all have breakthroughs waiting to happen but we usually need that objective outsider to help us get there. Coaches ask hard questions. They force us to tell the story we don’t want to tell. Different from therapy in many ways, they listen for recurring themes and trends and words, and they bring it to our attention.

“That which is undistinguished, runs us.”

The point of coaching, as I see it, is to find those undistinguished parts for a client, help them shine a bright light on them, dissect them and ask the hard questions, and then process and appreciate the benefits to those parts.

Bringing things out of the back of our minds into the front and surveying them is MUCH easier and more effective to do with someone else -someone else listening carefully for cues, and also, someone who does not have any personal stake in the game.

Coaching is about asking the hard questions, but not having any skin in the game with respect to results.

It’s a beautiful process. I’d be honored to help you as your coach.

I am so thankful to have Megan’s help with my practice. She has provided invaluable feedback, guidance, and especially helped me figure out how to move forward with intent.
